Photovoltaic Panel System Style Assessment

Picture standing on your roof on a crisp Berks County Pennsylvania morning, sunshine spilling over the horizon, and questioning, " How can I catch this energy most effectively?" That's where a photovoltaic panel system design consultation transforms from an ordinary appointment into a turning point of discovery. It's not practically slapping panels on a roofing system; it's about crafting a customized energy solution that dances with your home's special qualities.

The Art and Science of Tailored Solar Designs

Every home in Berks County Pennsylvania is a solar story waiting to be told. The consultation dives deep into elements like:

  • Roofing system orientation and pitch-- Is your roofing a sun magnet or a shadow haven?
  • Shading patterns-- Trees or neighboring buildings might play spoiler.
  • Energy consumption habits-- Night owl or early bird, your usage forms the system.
  • Future growth possibilities-- Planning for tomorrow's power requires today.
Nate SabelWe were a bit nervous about the expense and process of getting solar up and running, but Lumina (and our contact Courtney Sollenberger) was a great company to work with throughout the process. I'd definitely recommend that others talk to them before selecting a solar company.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Nate Sabel
Matthew CawthorneI was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne
Frank FackelmanWe had a great experience with the entire Lumina team.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Frank Fackelman
Harrison BurchExtremely professional! We worked with Christopher Richardson and he made the whole process so simple. The crew that showed up installed everything in only a few hours and then walked me through what they had completed and what the next steps were. If I would have known this was so easy, I would have done this a while ago!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Harrison Burch
Laura FondiMy husband and I love our new solar panels from Lumina. Our experience was positive from the start. Andrew answered all our questions and was there to continue to support us through the whole processs. My husband and I were determined to not have conduits on the house and the team really had to work to make that happen. We could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Lumina!!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Laura Fondi
LindsayI've been working with Courtney closely for a little over a year now and she's been so incredibly supportive while I work to get my credit in order so we can start the process of switching to solar. I wouldn't go through any other company let alone anyone other than Courtney for this process. I feel very confident that I and my investment are in the best hands!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Berks County Pennsylvania by Lindsay
